Happy New Year from Kids’ Church

All Saints’ Church – Kids’ Church

Meeting God : Being me : Making friends

We would love to see you and your family on Sunday at 10.15am at
All Saints’ Church, Marple

May we wish you a very Happy New Year.

Kids’ Church re-started last weekend following a wonderful Christmas break. We are starting this year with a teaching series about prayer. Prayer is so important and something that can be easily encouraged in the home. Praying with your children before they go down to sleep is a great way to end the day and getting the children to take ownership of their prayers means that a pattern is set for the rest of their lives.
If you are looking for ways to help your children learn about prayer and you want to encourage them to be creative as they talk with God take a look at "My God Book" by Victoria Beech from Scripture Union (see http://www.scriptureunion.org.uk/114139 ).

This Sunday we will be thinking about being persistent in prayer and not giving up. It would be useful if you can help the children learn our key verse for this series which is –

Can you help?
We have been encouraged by the addition of a number of new leaders and helpers to the Kids’ Church team. It takes a huge amount of effort from many dedicated team members to run Kids’ Church each Sunday morning. We are always looking to increase our team numbers with the right people so that we can all share the privilege of working with our wonderful young people. Our vision is to see all team members be part of the team at least once a month but no more than twice each month. You might want to offer to help in the group where your children are members or you may prefer to be in a different group – we can see large benefits in being with them but there is also the possibility of small negatives. You do not necessarily need to lead sessions, it is just as important to help the children by sitting alongside them and encouraging them to make correct decisions as others teach and lead. All leaders and helpers working with in Kids’ Church are required to agree to a background check. If you would like to talk to us about the possibility of helping within Kids’ Church please speak to
